Be sure to come out to the February NLNA General Membership meeting
this week:

Thursday, February 23
7:00PM
St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church
NE corner 4th and Fairmount

Scheduled for the agenda:

- Update on casinos/slots
- Crime/safety and Town Watch updates with local police reps
- Nominations for vacant NLNA board position

Casinos/Slots:
In the week leading up to the meeting, NLNA Board members will be
among those attending small-group meetings convened by Councilman
Frank DiCicco, where we will find out what several of the slots
parlor developers intend to do on their sites, should they receive
licenses from the state's Gaming Control Board. At the Feb. 23
General Meeting we will provide an update on the issue.

Crime/Safety:
The is also slated to include discussion of crime and safety issues,
with local police representatives, and to start gearing up for
involvement in neighborhood Town Watch patrols for the spring.

Board Nominations:
We will also be taking nominations to fill the recently vacated
position of NLNA Board Secretary.
